How fiat stablecoins work

Minting (deposit)

User pays fiat via Stripe or bank wire → fiat arrives in SPACE OS bank account → corresponding .s token minted to the user’s proxy wallet.

Burning (withdrawal)

User requests withdrawal → .s tokens burned on-chain → fiat sent to the user’s bank via Wise or wire transfer.

Refunds

Stripe payments → refunded via Stripe + USD.s burned (peg maintained). Crypto payments → stablecoins returned to the proxy wallet from treasury.

Reconciliation

Automated checks every 6 hours verify on-chain total supply ≤ bank balance. Minting auto-pauses if a deficit is detected.
